The Elmont Group took over from the trustee in bankruptcy the seat of the company ZWSE Białystok. The building with the company’s characteristic name has already become a part of the panorama of Białystok. This is one of the few things that remained after the years of splendor of ZWSE Białystok. As a 10% shareholder, we had no real influence on the management of the company. Despite many attempts to buy the shares from the majority shareholder (WPRD Katowice – state-owned company) and full incorporation of ZWSE Białystok into the capital group of the Elmont Group, it was not possible to do so. There was no common sense and business approach of the other party, and the clerical approach and short-term benefits prevailed. The resulting decisions contrary to the company’s interests, mistakes in the management of the company and the downfall of the company from the inside at every level, from the lowest to the highest level of the organization, led to the bankruptcy of a once well prospering company.
Let us remind you that years ago ZWSE was an energy giant. In the 1980s, this plant employed about 1,000 people. The company was located at Bitwy Białostockiej street 8, was considered to be one of the best enterprises in the entire Central Energy District of the Warsaw Union during the times of the Polish People’s Republic. It also did well after the commercialization that took place on December 30, 2008. The company specialized in the construction of high voltage power lines and substations as well as in the removal of network failures for PGE Białystok.
The Elmont Group has successfully acquired several companies with a history similar to ZWSE, and these were BPIE (before Wojewoda’s company founded in 1965), currently operating under a name changed to Elserwis and Pracownia Projektowa Enspro (before PGE Białystok company). Thanks to the Group, the companies have developed and function perfectly within its structures. These are well-known and recognized brands in the power industry.
After ZWSE, we only have sadness and regret…., But also inner peace that we saved what could be saved in this situation. ZWSE Białystok is already history, the chapter we have closed, and we are going further. We do our job…
